Graphics/Pics Online
One thing teachers always ask about is "Where can I get pictures from on the internet that do not violate copyright laws". Below is a list of sites you and your students can use to access many different public domain pictures or pictures that can be used under creative commons.
- Photo For Class- Great for the Classroom. They allow students to find school appropriate pictures from Flicker and when they are downloaded, they automatically have the correct citation at the bottom of the picture.
- Creative Commons Search - Search many sites at once *MY Favorite! You can search a bunch of different things here.
- Everyday Stock Photo-A Search engine for public domain and creative common pictures. It pulls from dozens of sources from all over the Internet.
- StockVault.net – Free images from photographers around the world
- FindIcons.com – Huge resource for avatars or small images
- Flickr Advanced Search – Use advanced search filters to show only CC licensed images
- Morguefile – Free stock photos
- Open Clipart Libary – Public domain clipart
- Clikr Clipart Libary – Public domain clipart
- Pics4Learning- Safe and free pictures for students to use in educational projects
- Microsoft Clipart Gallery- (it says this site is unavailable but if you put what you are looking for in the search bar and look it will still bring it up.
